A term used to describe fonts with bracketed slab-serifs and ittle stroke weight variation. Confungsingly, antique is also used to describe some sans-serif fonts as well.

ITC Bookman was created by Edward Benguiat in 1975. This font features a large x-height and moderate stroke contrast for optimal legibility.

Antique Olive was created by French Typographer Roger Excoffon on the 1980s. This font has a large x-height and open letterforms, which make it very readable and ideal for smaller point sizes.
